SMART CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES
Smart cities are cities that produce solutions to future problems and needs by effectively using their limited resources through new technologies and innovative approaches, respect the environment and Natural Resources, add value to human life and improve the quality of life.
Smart technologies that enable municipal services to be realized more efficiently at less cost allow municipalities to provide more effective services to citizens. The Internet of things and advanced technologies take life in our cities to a new dimension. Smart city applications, which have already started to be used in many municipalities, are mainly concentrated in the areas of environment, transport, governance, security, health and geographic information systems.
In this context, all the municipalities in our country is a natural member of the Union as well to keep abreast of technological developments in local government in the world, our municipalities and services to support them in producing appropriate structures to these developments and to share their experiences in order to make it possible for January 15-16, 2020 in the history of the presidency under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment and urban planning in collaboration with the Ministry of industry and technology and “smart cities and municipalities Congress and exhibition”NI will arrange it.
